Employers Liability
Employers Liability Insurance provides cover in respect of injury or disease to employees.
The policy provides cover for the legal defence costs and the resulting settlement award.
The type of business activities undertaken may indicate the potential risk – for example, working at height or depth may indicate a theoretically higher insurance risk.
Employers Liability limits of protection start at £10m, up to higher levels depending on your needs.
Employers should be aware that it is not just PAYE employees for whom Employers Liability cover is required. Considerations should be made in respect of self employed persons, labour only sub-contractors, work experience persons, plant operators. etc
At Trade Protect, we will work with you to accurately present the full risk details to the insurance underwriters, in a way which lets them understand the measures which you take to prevent losses/claims occurring.
Claims Examples:
Claim against the employer by an employee after a fall from height.
